To much Deus Ex...

Not much has been done since we know that Deus Ex: Human Revolution got released last week.
Things are going forward at least.

I have to admit i have been quiet lazy on the part when it comes to the texture design, cutting corners and such. I know i might regret that later when i realize how...bad they look later on.





The elevators acts like they would in the original game, as you would expect.


The lighting will look slightly different once the map is done, because the other light sources makes the map look different.





Rougly 50% of this map is done, in one way or another.


This is what you could see more often, adding light sources here and there.

Left 4 Dead 2 - Alien Trilogy (Update 4)


Garage Level and old screen shots.

Before i move on to the garage level i have "old" screenshots from the Med. Lab level, it could be hard to spot details while everything moves.







Garage Level
Starting area.
I haven't decide if i should use these eggs or not. They seem to be out of scale.
The biggest pain in the butt is to fit everything so it looks like the original. Scale.
As you can see i am all over the place, i have to do that so everything fits.
That will be even more noticeable on later screens.
I went for dev textures so my eyes don't burn up.
If you wondering about the skybox, that is just a temporary room so i don't have to place temporary walls everywhere, since that takes time.

A week later...

i am back.....that didn't take long.


I have plenty of pictures to upload since the progress of the "Garage" level is going "smooth"...headaches all the time.

I will be offline for a long time.

I type this because of my ISP couldn't find the cause of the problems with my connection for the past 3 months, so i decided to terminate the contract.


All i get is major headaches from a internet connection that is refusing to work at least at 90% of time. Frustrating as hell.

Videos, Med. Lab Level

There are two new videos, update two and three.

Update two is about the second map in the campaign.
Update three is a montage of what i have done so far for the Med. Lab level, which is part of map three in the campaign.






My key focus on the Med. Lab level is to take advantage of the "lighting" of the original game. I believe that Alien Trilogy back in the day might have looked something like this in a more modern graphic engine.There are minor detail from other light sources that ain't there.


 The white chamber is the older one, so the darker is the one that is current.


 The lights in the ceiling has been replaced with these blue instead of the old white. This part is not in the video montage.

 This is the above picture but looking from the opposite direction.

 This time the lights are off.



Testing the lighting to see if it is to my satisfaction in a different area.

From fullbright to ingame lighting....huge difference.

Just like in the game, you can open these to find Supplies, except no ID Tags this time.....and no Chest Bursters.
